Refresh is how often a vehicle's device reports position while the engine is running. Phone-based plans have no device, so no cadence — the app reports while a driver is on shift.

Track, Fleet and Enterprise need a device on each vehicle. It's a Teltonika FMM003 — it plugs into the OBD-II port and takes under a minute to fit. The SIM and its data are included in the plan; there is no separate connectivity bill.

Rented devices carry a $179 charge per device if one isn't returned. That is a replacement cost for hardware we don't get back — it is never charged for cancelling.

Two things are metered. Going over doesn't switch anything off — the calls keep being served and the extra is billed.

Billed in blocks of 100,000, rounded up. There's a ceiling at ten times your allowance, which exists so a runaway script or a leaked key can't run up an unbounded bill — past it, calls are refused rather than billed.
